We are pleased to announce that the 2nd SOMS International Conference on Obesity & Metabolism (SICOM 2025) will be held from November 27 (Thursday) to 29 (Saturday), 2025, at the aT Center in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This year’s conference, held under the theme “The Golden Age of Obesity Care Begins,” will highlight groundbreaking advances that are reshaping the field of obesity treatment. SICOM 2025 will serve as a dynamic platform for scientific exchange and collaboration among researchers from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The Plenary Lecture will feature a leading Korean researcher presenting on key studies in diabetes and energy metabolism. Three Keynote Lectures will explore the evolving principles of personalized clinical obesity care, the diagnosis and management of sarcopenic obesity in the Asia-Pacific region, and physiological changes in adipose tissue in response to energy status. The scientific program will also include seven major symposia covering advanced obesity management strategies for related conditions such as diabetes, MASLD, and cancer, as well as emerging pharmacotherapies, dietary interventions, muscle-preserving weight loss approaches, and the immunometabolic aspects of obesity. In addition, an Asia-Pacific regional symposium and numerous oral presentation sessions will provide valuable opportunities for researchers to share the latest findings and foster academic collaboration.
